Going to live shows, I always took inspiration from the attitude or fashion of the band. Planning the outfit ahead of time in anticipation of the event was part of the fun. I combined my love for portraiture and sewing to re-imagine band merch as something that could be worn anywhere. I’ve enjoyed seeing the reactions to my work from fans.

This pattern was inspired by the band Sparks.
